red sweater on the floor as my bare feet shuffle by; they find slippers and head toward the door. brown cat lies in front of it, the draft feels good coming in from the courtyard. my fingers unlatch the door to reveal a bright space, too bright for brown cat - she slinks away, with green plants, dead plants, flowers and toys. all the rooms are seperate; without slippers pebbles stick their way to the bathroom and down the drain. liquid plumber is not as potent on pebbles.
the air: concentrated honey suckle, from an over zealous trip to the nursery. sneezes are incessant this time of year.
